Successful Open Garden day at the IGB

Last Saturday, the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) organised a “Open Garden Day” on the occasion of the « Getrommelt und Gepfiffen» festival of Friedrichshagen. More than a hundred visitors were offered a guided tour of the IGB and of its aquaponic system. Prof. Werner Kloas, project coordinator, also presented the principles of the INAPRO aquaponics and how the system manages to save resources while producing healthy food.
