INAPRO at the Berlin Green Week

Thursday February 04, 2016

The INAPRO project was presented as an innovative approach to aquaculture during an event organised by the European Commission in the framework of the Berlin Green Week.

The main aim of the event was to present “Farmed in the EU”, a campaign launched by the Commission to inform consumers about European aquaculture products as a source of healthy food. The campaign is complemented by a school project aiming at raising awareness among teenagers about fish farming in order to face the critical lack of young professionals in the sector.

Prof. Kloas, INAPRO’s coordinator, was invited to give a speech about aquaponics as an innovative farming method bringing diversification to the sector.

The INAPRO partners hope to join the Farmed in the EU campaign and to receive some schools to the demonstration sites as soon as production begins.
