Work in progress on the building site in Waren

Friday March 18, 2016

One of the INAPRO demonstration sites is being built on the premises of our partner Fischerei Müritz Plau - colloquially called Müritzfischer - in Waren which is situated in the North of Germany and embedded in the region of Mecklenburg Lakelands (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte). Müritzfischer is the largest freshwater fishing company in Germany. Besides traditional fishing and aquaculture they are offering holidays on fish farms and various public events as well as daily fresh fish from their fish store.

The INAPRO demonstration object is situated directly next to the fish store encouraging and ensuring continuous visitor traffic.

During the summer and autumn months we had an intensive preparation phase and permission procedure.  Müritzfischer received permission to build the demonstration object in October 2015. The building phase started just a few weeks later with the installation of the external secondary clarifier (see image 1) at the beginning of November. After that, the obstacles and soil were removed and the earthworks began (see images 2 and 3). After the foundation had been finished, the partner PAL started the construction of the greenhouse shell. Due to the Christmas break, the first steel elements of the hall were set in January (see image 4).  Despite the frost and snow, we made good progress up to the beginning of February, when the covering of sandwich plates (fish part, see image 5) and glass (green house) began, which is almost finished.

The partner autosoft will start the installation of the control system within the next few weeks. The system will start operation at the end of April 2016 and will be open for visitor groups in summer.
