Some updates from INAPRO General Assembly

Friday May 15, 2015

All INAPRO partners met on the 11-12 of May in Stralsund (Germany) for the second general assembly of the project. The meeting represented a great opportunity to exchange on the projects’ progresses and to discuss on future actions.

During the first day of the meeting, the partners presented the work done and the steps ahead. It was generally agreed that the project is progressing well, the deadlines have been respected and that the first results are encouraging. INAPRO coordinator, Prof. Werner Kloas, pointed out that the ambitions of the project respond perfectly to the recent EU strategies under the new Horizon 2020 framework to face the challenge of preserving water as a crucial resource in Europe and Worldwide.

Furthermore, it was announced that the construction of the two European demonstration sites in Waren (Germany) and in Murcia (Spain) will start in the second half of 2015. Hopefully, both facilities will be running in early 2016. Also, CAUIOT reported about the progresses achieved concerning the demonstration site in China. From now on, exploring market possibilities for the INAPRO system and products will be one of the priorities as well as the dissemination of project results through scientific papers and presentations during conferences.

The following day, the project’s partners visited the INAPRO research facility in Abtshagen and had the opportunity to see and check the INAPRO system and to exchange on its functioning and on possible adjustments.
