Discovering the INAPRO site in Abtshagen

The INAPRO test and research facility in Abtshagen (Germany) is an aquaponic system consisting of two compartments: fish and plants. The fish part is a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) for production of tilapia while the greenhouse is equipped for production of tomatoes in NFT-trenches. The facility is running since February 2015 and it was built to run tests on all INAPRO partners’ equipment and to collect data and knowledge. The data collection relates to different aspects such as oxygen values, air and leaf temperature, etc. and the results will help finalise the demonstration sites in Spain and Germany.
