4th INAPRO General Assembly and visit to the demonstration site in Waren

Thursday April 06, 2017

The 4th General Assembly and 4th Board Meeting of the INAPRO project took place on the 27th and 28th of March in Waren (Germany). During the annual meeting, the partners exchanged about the results achieved during the first three years of the project, compared the results and experiences in the different demonstration facilities and discussed issues and possible solutions to the challenges met during the last period. The partners will carry on working together and supporting each other during the last phase of the project in order to achieve a successful result. The advisory board was pleased with the progresses made and shared some important recommendations to guide the consortium in the following months.

It was generally acknowledged that, beside some issues that are being dealt with, the project is on a good track and some exciting activities are foreseen for the near future. For example, INAPRO will be showcased in May in the framework of two major international events: the Global Food Innovation Summit and the Global forum for innovations in agriculture which will take place respectively in Milan and Utrecht. Moreover, a second workshop for end-users will take place in Waren and more visits to the demonstration sites will be organised.

On the second day of the meeting, the INAPRO partners visited the Waren demonstration site. The facility, which is located in the premises of the Müritzfischer, one of the largest freshwater fishing company in Germany, has been finalised last year and it is now fully operational. The first tomatoes and catfishes have already been harvested and processed and the partners had the chance to taste some of the Müritzfischer products.
